At Christmas time in Portland in the early 60’s flocked trees were a thing. ‘Trending’ is what they were, featured in the living room window of homes on Candy Cane Lane, Peacock Lane and such. They came in all colors from pink to turquoise. Many were center stage with a floor spotlight that had motorized rotating colored gels. So on a December morning trail walk Mother Nature stopped me in my tracks. There she stood, a big wild bush, naturally flocked. Green and white and just in time for Christmas. |
